A 48 chromosome accession of S. curtilobum from Colombia, dating to 1955.
Observations
TPS. Slow germinator, 12+ days. Low germination, worse with GA3. Tubers obovate, round, elongate, elliptic. Eyes shallow to moderately deep. Mostly yellows, some with red or blue, a few blues and reds. Flesh color mostly white, some light yellow. Short stolons. Mix of long and short day. Some high tuber counts. Moderate flowering and seed set.
Commentary
I had my doubts about these Colombian accessions of S. curtilobum, since Colombia is not in the range for this species, but this does appear to fit that species. My guess is that it was collected elsewhere and then obtained from a Colombian collection.
