Accession Details

A goniocalyx type diploid collected in Peru before 1951.  GRIN notes resistance to bacterial wilt, PVM, nematodes.  S type cytoplasm (Hosaka 1988).

Observations

TPS.  Tubers mostly elongate, some obovate, compressed.  Mostly yellows, a few whites and blues.  Mostly yellow flesh, some white, some with a bit of blue.  Large plants, mostly with high yields.  Long day tuberization.  Short to mid stolons.  Many tubers sprouting at harvest.  High flowering and berrying.

Commentary

Impressive.  Too bad about the short dormancy, but it remains to be seen if they are uniform in this trait.
