Ostbote, or "Eastern Messenger" is an older European potato, bred out of crosses between the German W race potatoes, which were crosses with the Mexican hybrid species Solanum x edinense, which introduced late blight resistance. It was a superior producer in Europe for many years, with multiple disease resistances. Although it is no longer a match for current strains, it still has impressive resistance to many of the most common viruses. You can see its pedigree and connection to many older Eurpean potatoes here: https://www.plantbreeding.wur.nl/PotatoPedigree/pedigree_imagemap.php?id=6025
