Trippy Banana is a cross of the triploid, chaucha type potato Tumiri with Bloody Banana. It is a good mid-season, day neutral, irregular bicolor.  Very yellow flesh which intensifies when cooked, usually with a red ring.

Culinary Traits

All purpose texture, leaning more to the starchy side. Moderately chewy skin. It does well roasted or mashed. Well balanced, almost nutty flavor.

Agronomic Traits

Plants are large but uniform, rarely sprawling.  Diploid and a moderate seed producer with a suitable pollinator. Fair dormancy.  Possible resistance to powdery scab.

True Seed (TPS)

I have not grown this TPS yet.  I expect that the majority of the progeny will have yellow flesh, but skin color and shape are likely to be pretty diverse.
