Yacon ships in spring, usually separate from the rest of your order.

Unfortunately, I lost the pictures of this variety that I took this year, so we’ll have to wait until after the 2021 harvest to fix that.

Dosewallips is 2021 introduction from our yacon breeding project.  It originated from the attempted cross of Quinault and New Zealand.

Dosewallips tubers are large and long, tan with stripes and blotches of purple, becoming fully purple with exposure to light.  The flesh is slightly more yellow than true white flesh.  Yields can be very high with this variety, but the root balls tend to get huge, so they can be challenging to harvest, particularly without breaking some of the tubers.  The tubers are very sweet, among the sweetest that I have tasted.  Medium to tall.  Early flowering and good seed set with another variety to pollinate.
